Welcome to the Ramara Township Public Library

What's New in 2008 @ your library®!

As promised earlier this year, the Library is now offering two new great services. E-Audiobooks are now available and can be downloaded onto an MP3 Player, CDs or to your personal computer for your listening pleasure anytime, anywhere!

In addition, the Library is now offering FREE public high-speed Internet access for persons with wireless-enabled portable computers and it's available at both branches!

So now you have even more reasons to stop by and visit to check out the new services @ your library®.

As always, we are anxious to hear how we're doing. If you have any comments and/or suggestions, please feel free to stop by & visit me in my office at the Ramara Centre or drop your feedback in the Suggestion Box available at either branch.

Staff Changes

On March 31st we had to say goodbye to one of our own. Brenda Chisholm who has worked at the Library since 1995 decided to hang up her Birkenstock sandals, her hairnet and horned rimmed glasses and retire. Brenda was an important player in helping the library through its many transitions.

On March 18th we welcomed a new member (well she really isn’t all that new) to our team, Erin Lamb. Erin was a part of the Library before any of us with the exception of Brenda came on board. Erin was a regular volunteer in her earlier years, prior to coming and working for us, she was an employee with Foodland in Brechin.

We also welcomed to our team Becky Healy as our library page. Becky is quite the young lady, she not only helps out around here, she is busy with teaching swimming lessons, singing, playing guitar, volunteering and being on the school council.

We hope you will wish, along with us, Brenda a great retirement and welcome Erin & Becky to the library.

Wishing everyone a safe and pleasurable summer!

Janet Banfield
Chief Executive Officer

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Casino Rama for their continuous support in collection development,
programs and volunteer appreciation.
